Finding My Mission Twin


Kia Ora! 

This week was a wonderful week! Every week is wonderful though. On Monday after we emailed, we went on a hike to this place up the coast by Taloga Bay. It's called Cooks Cove, I think. It was really fun! It was actually closed for hiking because of lambing, but we went anyways. It's this really cool hike and you have to go through sheep fields and cow fields. It was also really wet and raining a little bit, but it was still really fun! At the end it was the cliffs that were by Taloga bay (where I went a few weeks ago for pday). I wish it hadn't been so foggy and cloudy because we would have been able to see more, but it was still good. I wore my Chacos and I stepped in this mud spot and my feet got stuck! It took a little while to get unstuck. 


On Wednesday we had exchanges and they were really good! Sister Schwendinger and I get along really well so it was so much fun being with her! It's funny because she's a twin, too, and her twin is serving in the states too, but Florida not Ohio. But I remind her of her twin and she kinda reminds me of Adri so we have decided we are each others mission twins haha! We also have a lot in common. Like she went to BYUI and she has a twin and she is born at the end of April! It's kinda funny! She's awesome though! 

On Thursday we got a text from John (the guy we met last week) and he said that he read the pamphlets we gave him and he was keen to learning more and wanted a Book of Mormon. Then the next morning we got a text from him saying that he had just had a meeting with his former minister and that he was going to go back to his old church and that he wouldn't need a Book of Mormon :(. It was sad and I was really disappointing. Maybe later he will be interested again. Who knows. Also on Friday we got 5 refferals from the elders and one from the senior couple in our area. Then on Saturday we got one from the Visitors Centre and stuff! Then we also got another on from the elders so this week will be a week of contacting referrals. haha! 

Oh! I started driving this week! It's not as bad as I thought, but as some of you know I don't really like to drive and adding in driving on the other side of the road.. Ew! But it's not as bad as I thought! I've only driven on the other side of the road like 3 or 4 times, but it's only when I'm making right turns and there aren't cars on the road. Then I get confused and can't remember what side I'm supposed to drive on. Also EVERY SINGLE TIME I'VE DRIVEN, ITS BEEN RAINING. Like no joke. It will have been nice all day and then when I get in the drivers seat it starts to rain! That's okay though!

Kia Ora!  This week was great! On Pday we went to this museum but I didn't take pictures because I couldn't' find my camera, but don't worry I found it. It was just in my coat haha! It was a pretty cool museum. There was a lot of like Maori history and stuff! It was really neat!  Then  on Tuesday  we were supposed to leave for zone conference but it got changed to  Thursday . So  on Tuesday  we just went and visited people and hung up some peopl'se laundry and stuff. Just the usual.   On Wednesday   we went and visited a member at Kiri Te Kanawa. She has brain tumors and stuff, but she is the most positive person ever! The only thing she complained about was one of her neighbors who always cries so she doesn't sleep very well. I'm Out in the Field!

Sister Brothers and Sister Grant (they are in a driving area) Hi everyone!  How are you?  I'm sorry I forgot to tell you when I was leaving the MTC. I left  on Wednesday  morning after everyone else had left so my heart was pretty numb at that point from saying goodbyes! I cried so much when I had to say goodbye to my district. It was really hard, and sometimes still is.  All the Wellington missionaries (Elder Smedly, Elder Harrigfeld, Elder Bishoff, Elder Tonumipea, and Sister Ontiveros) left  Tuesday  morning at  6:30 . So I had to say goodbye to them that night and it was so hard. Then Sister Olive and Elder Biranipwepwe left for Sydney  Wednesday  morning at like 4 so that was so hard. And then Elder Holt was supposed to leave at 7 but didnt end up leaving until like  7:30  so I got to say goodbye to him and that was so hard!  On Wednesday  morning I left the MTC and headed to Hamilton. Hello! First Week at the MTC

This is me in front of the NZ MTC! Hi everyone!  How are you all? I am so happy and having so much fun! My comp is sister Olive (Oh-lee-vay) She is from Auckland (Literally like 10 min form MTC) and is going to Sydney North. My district is the Mormon District. There is Elder Smeldy (I sent a pic with him because we recognize each other). His comp is Elder Harrigfeld (He's from Idaho Falls). There is also Elder Bishoff, Elder Tonumipea (From Samoa). Then there is Elder Holt and Elder Bironipewpew (from Kiribati). We have a lot of fun! There is only one set of sisters in each district because there are so many more elders . Oh! After lunch everyday we go to sports. Sister Ontivaros and I play soccer with like 4 other sets of elders and it is so muddy because it rains all the time, but it is so much fun!
