The Week of Two Investigators!

Kia Ora!

This week was great! On Pday we went to this museum but I didn't take pictures because I couldn't' find my camera, but don't worry I found it. It was just in my coat haha! It was a pretty cool museum. There was a lot of like Maori history and stuff! It was really neat!

Then on Tuesday we were supposed to leave for zone conference but it got changed to Thursday. So on Tuesday we just went and visited people and hung up some peopl'se laundry and stuff. Just the usual. On Wednesday we went and visited a member at Kiri Te Kanawa. She has brain tumors and stuff, but she is the most positive person ever! The only thing she complained about was one of her neighbors who always cries so she doesn't sleep very well. She is such a positive person! Then, we went and cleaned our flat a little bit because we had flat inspection (we got a 10/10 woohoo!) Then we left for zone conference!

We met at the chapel and were supposed to leave at 3 but the elders from the other district didn't get there until like 4 so we left late. But the drive was so beautiful! Seriously so great! I have some pictures I'll send. We got to Tauranga around 9:00 and Sister Brothers and I stayed with the Sistesr in Taugranga. Sister Logie from AUS and Sister Uson (you-son) from the Philippines. They were awesome! Thursday was zone conference. I loved zone conference!!! IT was so great! We got a training form Sister Cumming about enduring to the end. It was really good. She talked about Heber J. Grant and how persistent he was! (If you don't know about him go look him up and stuff he was a cool dude!) Also am I related to him? Also what about the Grant in the civil war? Are we realated to him? People have asked me quite a few times and I just say I don't know and probably seem kind of dumb haha! President gave a training about listening to the spirit and acting on every prompting. It was so good! Then the Gizzy (Gisborne) zone all headed off and drove like a billion years, not really just like 5 hours, back to Gisborne! Oh! Also I start driving today! So that should be interesting. Pray that I won't mess up and drivie on the wrong side of the road haha!

On Friday we had weekly planning and then we went and sang at Kiri Te Kanawa. I really need to have a better attitude about singing. We just sing so much! haha! The elders from the other district stayed and sang with us too so that was fun!
Florence's daughter drew this picture of me.
On Saturday we drove out to this rural place called Whatatutu and had a lesson with Tyler! He was staying with his Auntie and they live in the BEAUTIFUL place! Seriously so pretty, but I didn't take pictures haha. I took one of this minion in front of their house and you can kinda see the view in the back haha. The lesson went great!! We taught him about the restoration and I think he understood it. We just need him to keep his commitment to pray! Also on Saturday we went and helped Florence because they ran out of fire wood and have been freezing. So we helped her cut some wood and stuff. She was so thankful!

On Sunday we finally had a lesson with Anahera! We taought her the importance of keeping the Sabbath day holy. Also yesterday we decided to do some door knocking. Door knocking usually doesn't have any success but we found 2 new investigators! One of them, John, wasn't interested but when we were walking back to our car he was waiting for us and wanted some pamphlets and had some questions for us! So YA!! The other, Darryl, used to go to church like two years ago but just kind of fell away. He said he would be keen to have us back so we can talk! It was such a miracle with John though! Ya! Oh! Also this week we have exchanges and Sister Schwendinger is coming to my area with me so I'll be leading the area... YIKES!! Wish me luck!

I love you all so much!

  1. Yes you are related to Heber J Grant. I gave your parents a booklet about the conversion of his father, Jedediah M Grant in Erie County, PA. If they don't still have it, let me know and I'll email you a copy.
